More commercial WiFi hotspots planned for Moscow

openspectrum.info: „Russia’s largest mobile operator Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) has launched its Wi-Fi wireless Internet access network into commercial operation, the company said Wednesday. Currently MTS operates 60 Wi-Fi hotspots located in restaurants, cafeterias, airports and business and retail centers, the company said, adding that in 2006 it plans to increase the number of Wi-Fi hotspots to 300 and to cover sport centers, exhibition halls, educational and medical facilities, train stations and MTS‘ offices. MTS is carrying out this project in partnership with Moscow-based Internet provider Tascom.“
